Itinerary
Upon arrival in Ahmedabad or Vadodara, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, begin your visit to Kevadia to explore the iconic Statue of Unity (closed every Monday). During your tour, visit the Sardar Sarovar Dam, the Valley of Flowers, and the Statue of Unity. You can also enjoy a Jungle Safari and attend the captivating evening Laser Show. Please note that all activities are chargeable. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay at Kevadia.
After breakfast, drive to Bhavnagar and visit the Khodiyar Mandir, Takhteshwar Temple, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (Aksharwadi Temple), and Shri Adishwar Temple. After a day of sightseeing, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Bhavnagar.
After breakfast, drive to Sasangir. Please note that Gir National Park is closed from June 15th to October 15th each year, during which we will visit Devalia Park as an alternative, which is also closed on Wednesdays and during heavy rainfall. Sasan Gir Lion Sanctuary, home to around 300 Asiatic lions, is the only place outside Africa where these majestic animals can be observed in their natural habitat. The sanctuary, spanning 1,450 square kilometers, is the last refuge for Asiatic lions in India. Besides lions, Gir is renowned for its significant leopard population, along with other wildlife such as Sambar Deer, Chital Spotted Deer, Nilgai Antelope, and various bird species like the Paradise Flycatcher and Bonneli’s Eagle. Gir’s rich biodiversity also includes animals like Langur Monkeys, Jackals, and Flamingos. The park offers a glimpse into the historical presence of lions, which once roamed across much of the globe but now are confined to this sanctuary due to human expansion. Overnight stay at Sasangir.
After breakfast, drive to Diu, a serene island blessed with sun, sand, and sea. This tranquil destination, located at the southern tip of the Saurashtra Peninsula in Gujarat, is surrounded by the Arabian Sea and offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and history. Once a Portuguese colony until 1961 and now a Union Territory, Diu was an important trading and naval hub, controlling shipping routes in the northern Arabian Sea during the 14th to 16th centuries. In the afternoon, explore the charming landmarks of Diu, starting with St. Paul’s Church, dedicated to Our Lady of Immaculate Conception. Built between 1601 and 1610, the church is known for its elaborate façade and stunning wood carvings, which are considered among the best in Portuguese church craftsmanship. Next, visit Diu Fort, a grand structure built between 1535 and 1541, offering sweeping views of the sea. The fort is bordered on three sides by the ocean and features a lighthouse and several cannons. At night, the fort is beautifully illuminated, providing a mesmerizing sight. After a day of sightseeing, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Diu.
After breakfast, drive to Somnath and visit Bhalika Tirth and Triveni Ghat. In the evening, experience the Aarti Darshan at the Somnath Temple, a revered Jyotirlinga temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, believed to have been built by the Moon God. Conclude your visit with the mesmerizing Light and Sound Show at the temple. Overnight stay at Somnath.
After breakfast, drive to Porbandar and visit the Kirti Temple, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, along with the Sudama Temple.
