On arrival at Cochin, you will be transferred to Munnar. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Munnar is located at the confluence of 03 rivers as the very name signifies. The sprawling tea plantations and picturesque towns make Munnar a popular hill resort town in South India. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the Hotel. Sightseeing: - Enroute visit Kodanadu elephant care centre, Cheyyara waterfalls, Valara waterfalls, Attukadu waterfalls, Spice plantations etc. Distance between Cochin to Munnar 135 Kms (3.5 hours) by road.
After breakfast, prepare for an exciting day exploring Munnar. Nestled at the meeting point of three mountain streams—Kundale, Nallathanni, and Mudrapuzha—and located 1600 meters above sea level, Munnar was once the summer retreat of the British government in South India. Start your sightseeing at the Tata Tea Museum (closed on Mondays), then visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Photo Point. In the afternoon, head to Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park, closed from January to March for breeding season), where you might spot the rare Nilgiri Thar mountain goats. Return to Munnar for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Munnar and drive approximately 125 kilometers to Thekkady, a journey of about 4 hours. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and freshen up. Spend the afternoon exploring the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its extensive evergreen forests and diverse wildlife. In the evening, visit the local market to shop for aromatic spices. Return to your hotel in Thekkady for a peaceful overnight stay.
After having breakfast, we will drive to another exciting place in Kerala to enjoy the scenic beauty of the backwaters—Alleppey, the Venice of the East. Endowed with diverse water bodies, intricate inland waterways, labyrinths of rivulets, and lakes, Alleppey will undoubtedly be embossed to your heart forever. The expansive stretches of green paddy fields, lines of coconut palms amidst the backwaters will make you fall in love with Alleppey and her immaculate beauty over and over again. You can also surely enjoy the exotic cuisine of Alleppey. Your overnight stay is arranged at a House Boat/ Hotel in Alleppey, which is the best part. Enjoy free sunset cruise, Pedal Boating, canoe Cruise, Fishing, Village Walk in Resort.
After breakfast, check out from the houseboat or hotel at 8:00 AM and head to Kovalam Beach. The drive takes you through Kerala’s coastal areas, offering scenic views of lagoons, rivers, and lush coconut palms. Upon reaching Kovalam, check in at your hotel. Known for its beautiful sandy beaches and well-placed palm trees, Kovalam is one of India’s top beach destinations. Spend the evening relaxing on the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.Sightseeing options include Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach, and Ashoka Beach. The distance from Alleppey to Kovalam is approximately 165 kilometers, with a travel time of about 6.5 hours by road.
On the second day of your tour, enjoy a captivating exploration of Kovalam, a charming beach town about 17 km from Trivandrum/Thiruvananthapuram. Kovalam is famous for its three beautiful crescent-shaped beaches—Lighthouse, Samudra, and Hawa—that draw visitors from around the world. You can engage in various activities, such as swimming in the clear waters, and explore local shops for unique souvenirs. For a refreshing experience, consider trying a traditional Ayurvedic therapy. Besides the beaches, Kovalam offers several attractions, including The Lighthouse, Vellayani Lake, Kovalam Art Gallery, Veli Tourist Village, and the tranquil Karamana River. Before ending your day, be sure to visit the iconic Padmanabhaswamy Temple, followed by a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.
On the last day of the tour, grab your breakfast at the hotel and get an assisted transfer to Trivandrum Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
