Arrival to Baku, meet and greet at the airport. Transfer to hotel and check in hotel. It is the first and remains the only funicular system in the country. Length of railway track is 455 meters (1,493 ft) Ichari Sheher The historic quarter also known as “Castle” or simply “Old City” among the people is the ancient part of Baku, also historic-architectural reserve. Ichari Sheher being the ancient part of Baku was surrounded by well protected castle walls. Over 1300 families live in the territory of reserve having the area of 221m.Highland Park: The highland park Baku is the highest point of the capital of Azerbaijan, from where a beautiful panorama of the city and the bay opens. The Baku Ateshgah (Fire Temple) was built during the 17th and 18th centuries as a monastery and place of worship for Zoroastrian monks as well as Indian devotees of Shiva. The pentagonal castle like structure was constructed on top of a natural gas vent where fire rituals were practiced, like lying atop hot coals.Visit the incredible burning mountain known as Yanar Dag near Baku in Azerbaijan.Yanar Dag is a burning mountain (actually a small hill) situated in the Absheron Peninsula 25km north of the capital Baku. This incredible display is like the little brother of the Door to Hell in Turkmenistan across the Caspian Sea. A fire blazes continuously from natural gas deposits in the hillside. Azerbaijan has a long history when it comes to all things fiery, rooted in the early Zoroastrian religion and its worship of fire. Breakfast in the hotel. 10:00 starting the tour -- Only Photo StopsAt Gobustan Museum you will get a broad information from your tour guide and explore life of Gobustan's ancient inhabitants through interactive screens and expositions. After visiting Gobustan Museum, you will advance to the mountain in order to see real rock paintings in the open-air museum. The petroglyphs (stone carvings) located in Gobustan are as significant as Chauvet Caves and were left untouched for millenniums until discovered in the 1930s. You will have a chance to witness those prehistoric engravings, including images of old inhabitants that seem to be dancing a tribal dance!Lateron, the tour will proceed to the mud volcanoes area which is 20min saway from Gobustan National Museum. Azerbaijan keeps the first place in the world for the number of mud volcanoes. About 300 mud volcanoes are to be found in Azerbaijan – at the shore, in the sea and on islands. During this trip you will get a great chance to see these rare and active volcanoes from very close distance. Some people swear by the mud's medical benefits, so it might be worth to try it on your skin! Important Note: On wet seasons/rainy weather conditions, the Mud Volcanoes can be very muddy and impossible to reach by car. Therefore, in case of rainy weather/bad road conditions the trip to mud volcanoes will be substituted with a visit to Bibiheybat Mosque on the way back to the city centerOvernight stay at BakuMeal: Breakfast
